Vedolizumab
Vedolizumab is indicated for moderate to severe ulcerative colitis, not the mild-moderate UC noted here
Azathioprine
Due to delayed mechanism of action and potential for side effects, thiopurines like azathioprine are not indicated for induction of remission in patients with mild-moderate UC.
Oral Mesalamine
While oral mesalamine can be used in those intolerant to rectal therapy, combined oral and rectal mesalamine is recommended over monotherapy due to decreased risk for induction failure
